Designed for young stock riders, competitive youth and smaller adults, the Syd Hill Wallaby Youth Fender Saddle combines adult-grade strength and security with a comfortable design proportioned for junior riders.
Suitable for daily station work, trail riding and arena competition, the Wallaby provides a secure, balanced seat that encourages correct riding position while helping young riders build confidence in the saddle.
Crafted from premium European roughout leather across the seat, upper skirt and fenders, this saddle offers excellent grip during quick turns and sudden movements. The lower skirt is finished in smooth leather with elegant beige contrast stitching, creating a refined and traditional appearance.
Underneath, soft wool felt panels provide natural shock absorption, breathability and even pressure distribution across the pony or horse’s back.
The Wallaby is built on Syd Hill’s versatile SHX adjustable tree, allowing the gullet width to be altered to suit different horses or accommodate changes as a young horse develops.
Pre-twisted fenders hang directly from the stirrup bars, promoting a more natural leg position and greater freedom of movement. This design also allows the fenders to release more easily in the event of a fall.
Finished with lightweight 4.5" aluminium oxbow stirrups and a heavy-duty C-rigging system, the Wallaby is designed to remain secure and stable throughout demanding riding.
