* After trying several makes of saddles such as: Crates, Hereford, Circle Y & Imus 4 beat... Plus trying several types of pads... I was exhausted trying to "make" a saddle work for my short, wide backed, mutton withered horse! I had a saddle rep at a local saddle shop suggest that I try the Cashel line because she had always heard "good reports" about them fitting hard-to-fit horses. I'm so glad I listened to her because I finally found a saddle that fits my horse! No shims, no special attachments, just a well made saddle that fits! It's definitely made with comfort for the horse & the rider in mind. It's reasonably priced, attractive, light weight, & easy to adjust & clean. It has a comfy, deep seat, & the fenders & stirrups hang nicely to avoid knee & ankle strain. Plenty of saddle strings to attach your gear, & it's quality made by Martin! On a side note; it even fits my other horses! So I don't have to grab a different saddle for each horse! I highly recommend this saddle.
*I have owned several saddles over the years and this is my all time favorite! The leather is high quality and supple. There is absolutely no squeak or break in period. It was comfortable from day one and it looks nice enough to show in. The only problem that I have is that anyone that gets to ride in it wants it.
